For example, let’s say you have a credit card, if you buy something on a credit card, pay the bill on time, even if it’s the minimum payment, as long as you make the payments each month, you will be improving your credit rating.
The problem is if you miss a few payments, you will cause a negative impact on your credit rating. So, let’s say you miss payments for 4 months or so. This would really knock your credit rating down and you would suffer because it does take a while to put the credit rating bank to good standing.
Applying for credit card without job
Let’s say you apply for a credit card, you have no job, no income, and you don’t have any income which you can prove from the last few months. You will likely have to be refused for a credit card at most companies. This is because it is unsecured debt. So if there is no income, or you have very low income from benefits, there is not much security for the person lending you the money.
If however, you did have an income that wasn’t bad that you could prove, you may be able to get hold of a credit rating even if you have a bad credit rating.
An alternative option for those with no job and a bad credit rating
For those who have a bad credit rating and no job, there is companies that will still entertain you. The only problem is that you will have a much higher interest to pay. It can be as much as 30 percent, even higher in some case. What this means is that if you have spent quite a bit of money on your credit card, then you will have to pay a very high interest on the amount you owe. The key here is to only spend a little amount, pay it off in full each month and then eventually your credit rating will be improved, even for those who apply for credit card without job.
